About Me

My name is Ken Liefke and I am a teacher at LenWood Middle School in Armstrong, British Columbia. I have been teaching since the 2009/10 school year. I started my career in Oliver British Columbia at SD#53 as a Planning and Social Studies teacher, and I have been at SD#83 since 2011. I spent the last four years at Eagle River Secondary in Sicamous British Columbia. I have taught Social Studies 7 to 11, History 12, Genocide 12, English 7 to 10, PE 8 to 12, Foods 8 to 12 and all the shops as well.

I love baseball and am a huge BlueJays fan. I am a provincial level baseball coach and used to coach the Vernon Midget AAA Canadians.  I enjoy going to the gym, love boating and swimming. When I am away from work, I enjoy travelling and experiencing new cultures.

I have really enjoyed my time as a teacher and look forward to do my part to encourage my students to want to become lifelong learners, and to find something they are passionate about.
